Explanations (Sort Of)

Hey, guys. I know that I haven't updated in FOREVER, but I can kind of explain some of it.
Besides being incredibly busy, I also got grounded about three or four weeks ago. My dad found out that I was using my real name online, and he was furious (as were my mom and my aunt, my dad's sister) at my lack of caution. I don't regret how they found out, though. Some major stuff happened to Chelle and Alex (and it looks like weird stuff is still happening, but check their blog for more details. I've probably linked it somewhere around here...), and Chelle called my house asking where I live and if she could come over for a while. So, I had to ask my parents and/or my aunt if Chelle would be allowed over, and my dad was the nearest one at the time. Basically, his answer was, "You did WHAT? Chelle's more than welcome to come over--we'll never kick out someone who needs/wants a place to stay, especially because we've known Chelle for years--but you're grounded for breaking the rules." I can't say that I blame him, but, like I said, I don't really regret it. Plus, he let me go out on Halloween, which was more than I was expecting after losing the family's overall trust. I might give some more details later, if I'm feeling up to it.
Alex, Chelle, I read your two most recent posts, but I didn't know how to comment on them. I'm sorry, but please know that I AM keeping an eye out for you two and that my family would probably let both of you stay with us if you ever needed a place to go.
Happy belated birthday, Alex!

I never thought that I'd have to know how to say "to kill" for a Spanish vocabulary test. Go figure...

Trip

Just to let you guys know, I'm going on a trip in two days, so I don't know if I'll be on very often from Thursday through Sunday. Hopefully, I'll have a proper post up tomorrow, though.

As a side note, happy birthday, Chelle! ^-^ Now, I just need Alex's birthday so that I can wish her the same on her birthday~

The Impossible Just Happened

Wow. I've heard of crazy coincidences, but this is ridiculous! I was using the internet to try to make some new friends, but I never imagined that I would end up finding an old one again.
Remember that old friend, Shell, I was talking about before? Well, I found her, but I've been spelling her name wrong for the past few years. It's Chelle, short for Michelle. The same Chelle who's half of The Artist and The Writer. Mind. Blown.
Oh, yeah, Chelle and I played chess against each other earlier. If anybody's wondering how it ended, let's just say that I will NOT lose next time! And if I do lose, I definitely won't get pummeled again!
Most of my classmates would probably drop dead from shock if they learned that silent little Gwen actually had a competitive side and the ability to speak louder than a whisper, more or less the ability to yell at someone via chat. It's all in good fun, though. Luckily, my cold is easing up, so I coughed every so often instead of obliterating my voice. Come to think of it, Chelle was coughing a bit, too. There must be some kind of a bug going around.

Finding Chelle has changed my outlook on the internet a bit. I was pretty nervous about it before, and I still am, but I'm definitely beginning to see that the connectivity opens up a whole new set of possibilities. ... I'll get off of my soapbox now. XD;

Illness and Memories

I've been stuck at home all day with fever. Not fun. >.<' I usually catch about four or five colds per school year, but it's rare that the colds come with a fever. Plus, they usually come later on in the year.
Anyway, I love Steel Magnolias~ I found it on television, and I'm reminiscing a bit. I didn't see the movie for the first time until a few years ago (language and all that), but it's one movie that I will avoid watching with other people. It's hilarious, but this movie never fails to make me cry like crazy, and I hate letting other people see me cry. The only people I've cried in front of because of a movie are my parents, my aunt, my brother, and my friend from when I was little.
That last person is the reason why I've been reminiscing. I only knew that friend for about a year before she moved, but I looked up to her. I forgot what her real name was, but I always called her Shell. Maybe it was Shelby or Shelly... *shrugs* Anyway, she was about a year older than I was. I can't remember how we met, because it was so long ago. She moved before my family had to move to New York for my dad's job. Hmm... I wonder how she's doing? I'd look for her on Facebook if I could remember her last name.

Introduction

Um, I'm not really sure what to say. ^-^' I made this blog on a whim, and everything about it will probably be utter randomness. Still, such is life, I suppose.

Oh, wait, wait, wait! I do have something to talk about! I actually meant to post my first thing a few days ago, because I actually had an idea of what I wanted to do then. I've since scrapped the idea, because it was too boring, but I did manage to find something interesting when I tried to create my URL thingy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has tried to get a URL but been told that someone else had it, but since I was bored out of my skull, I decided to see who had claimed the URL. I ended up stumbling across a blog run by two people, girls about my age. (Oddly enough, one of them has the same name as my aunt...) They're pretty normal, but I've always been curious about how people in other places live, so I decided to follow them or whatever it's called. It's only been a few days, but I already find myself worrying about them a bit. Is that weird?
Anyway, the blog is called The Artist and The Writer, and the link is here: http://youarenotawake.blogspot.com/
I hope that the link works. I'm totally new to this. I'll figure it out eventually...
Bye-bye for now!
